Get Involved

The Arts and Sciences are the easiest SCA activity to participate in on your own, but there are also lots of ways to engage with Lochac’s A&S community. Some of those ways include:

• Attending local A&S gatherings to work on projects and share knowledge
• Attending classes or workshops
• Attending events with a strong A&S focus
• Entering an A&S display, such as the Laurel Prize display at Rowany Festival
• Entering a local A&S competition
• Entering a Kingdom A&S Competition 
• Joining a Guild
• Joining online via social media and virtual events
• Reading Cockatrice, (Lochac’s A&S journal) 
• Submitting content to Cockatrice
• Browsing a variety of blogs and websites from the artisans of Lochac: https://artsandsciences.lochac.sca.org/artisans-of-lochac-blogs-and-websites/

If you’re not sure where to start, talk to your local A&S officer! They can tell you about A&S activities in your area, and help you get involved.
