The final competitions for A.S.58 have just been held in Ildhafn, and soon the results will be formally published. I am grateful to the event steward, the Seneschal and to the local Arts and Sciences Minister, Isabell Winter, for their efforts in managing the competitions.

In the meantime, I have an announcement:
New Arts and Sciences Competition forms have been devised!

The originals have served Lochac well for many years, but they were getting long in the tooth. The revisions should help competitions work better for everyone – entrants, judges and co-ordinators.

The forms are still recognizably based on the older style, but have been substantially re-written and re-arranged to make them a little more compact, and hopefully, more user-friendly for all involved.

The new forms will come into use for the next competition year, starting in May AS LVIX (May 2024).
