Some news from the office:

I have a new A&S Communications Deputy, Fru Ragnhildr Freysteinsdottir.

Fru Ragnhildr will be looking after some of the media-related aspects of the KMoAS role. Among other projects, she is setting up a monthly sit-and-sew via the Lochac Discord channel, where people from all over the Kingdom can take part regardless of location. Keep an eye out for announcements! She will also be helping with communications about competition dates and suchlike.

I believe Ragnhildr intends to publish her own introduction shortly, so I will not go into any more details here.

Competition themes have been (finally!) updated on the webpage, so you can see what is coming next year, and begin planning your entries.

Spring Crown Tournament has just been held, along with the A&S competitions for this round – you may already have seen images of the entries, posted on social media (thank you to the photographer/s!).  I don’t have all the official information yet, but will announce results when they are ready.

Our Chancellor, THL Nicola, has recently announced Lochac University 2026: Light your Promethean Fire. This online event will run on 31 October 2026, via Zoom. Teachers are being sought, and I have already heard of some great classes being planned! Check out all the information, and register to receive the event link, on the Lochac University website.
